Pastor Gary Harris

Rev. Gary Harris began his ministry as full-time Pastor of Georgetown Baptist on Sunday, July 22, 2012. He and his wife Trisha (Martell) and their four children, Wesley, Chloe, Caleb, and Sitota moved from Winnipeg, Manitoba, to take up their new area of service. Both Gary and Trisha are native Islanders who have returned to PEI to take up residence in Georgetown.
Pastor Gary ministered nine years in Winnipeg where, as part of his pastoral ministry, he served in many areas of Christian work, including counselling, community outreach, discipleship ministries, small groups, and youth, as well as holding leadership posts in his denomination.
Pastor Gary brings with him a varied experience in business and education, which included being the owner manager of his own business, Fox River Oyster Culture, and from 1997-2003 he used his commercial scuba diving skills and worked with the aquaculture industry. He is a graduate of the University of Prince Edward Island with a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honours in 1996; Holland College, Summerside, PEI, with an Aquaculture Technician Diploma in 1997, and New Brunswick Bible Institute in Hartland, NB, with a Diploma of Biblical and Theological Studies in 2003.
